Coronavirus cases in Kenya rose to 22,597 on Monday after 544 new ones were confirmed from 2,653 samples tested in the past 24 hours.
The cumulative number of tests done in the country since the virus outbreak have now risen to 318,376.
Of the new cases, 499 are Kenyans and 45 are foreigners.
Some 315 are males and 229 are females.
The youngest is a one-year-old and the oldest is 84-years-old man.
“On a positive note, 263 patients have been discharged. We now have 8, 740 recoveries in the country,” Health CAS Rashid Aman said.
However, the country has lost 13 more people, taking total fatalities to 382.
