Odede urged the girls to work hard in their high school education so as to realize their dreams. “Work hard and never feel inferior. Be proud of yourself. You have come from far and you have a bright future. I believe in you. I see a future in you and I know you will make the world a better place,” Odede said amid cheers.

“Be happy, have fun and dance. You are a strong woman. You can do it all,” said Odede. Odede thanked all the guest for supporting SHOFCO and the girl education in particular. “I welcome my American mother whom I knew since I was 10 years old. She bought me my fi rst pair of shoes. She is an incredible woman,” Odede revealed.

Meanwhile, Odede expressed his happiness to all stakeholders for making it happen. “We could not be here without your support. Thank you teachers, mentors, community and supporters,” he pointed out. Speaking at the same event, SHOFCO Co-founder, Jessica Odede, encouraged the girls to forge ahead and utilize the privileged they have been given. “With great privilege comes great responsibility.

You have been privileged with quality leadership education. It is therefore your responsibility to be the best you can be and make a di erence in someone’s life,” Mrs. Odede said.
