Human beings exist in groups that come together to form a community. Our productivity as an individual, group or community is solely dependent on how healthy we are to be able to maintain a good social and economic balance.

New year As you usher in 2019, it is good to meditate and think about how staying healthy a ects your physical and mental well-being. Keeping your health is important in many ways. First, it helps you accomplish your duties or activities with ease. Your good thinking process enables you to make informed decisions.

Young children are able to have normal development if you keep them healthy. It goes a long way in saving you money and time from making hospital visits. Make it your personal obligation to also keep other people and your environment healthy. Cases of communicable and infectious diseases are common and therefore you as an individual should always fi nd ways of mitigating them.

This saves you money from regularly seeking treatment of the ailments which may be costly. When one is not in his or her right health status, he or she experiences a lot of challenges. Therefore, it pays more to remain healthy. Health measures How then do we ensure that we keep ourselves healthy?

We have the capacity to implement measures to keep our health and those of our loved ones much better. This improves our lives and creates a happier community. As the saying goes, ‘health is wealth’, it is advisable to embrace good health practices so as to enhance your work and productivity. You achieve a lot when you are physically and psychologically fi t.
